Virginia Belle Smith Hudgins, 89 of Winterville, died December 21, 2011 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
She graduated from Hugh Morrison High School and Hoyles Business School in Raleigh, NC. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Herman Smith and Tunie Stephenson Smith and two brothers, James Smith and William Herman Smith, Jr.
She is survived by her children, Gwen Gordon of Winterville; Bruce Lynch and Robert Hudgins, both of New Bern; Howard McManus of San Diego, CA; her siblings, Judy Osborn of New Bern; and Bobbie Warren of Vandemere; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her special caregivers, Geraldine Ward, and Karen Gooding, granddaughter.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 pm at The Memorial Baptist Church in Greenville, NC on January 7, 2012.
