Wilma Needham

She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in New Bern, where she enjoyed serving others through volunteering. She had a special love for cooking for family and friends and was always there whenever someone needed her. Her kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others touched the lives of many. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother and cherished “Granny.” Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years in 2024, Seth Needham; her parents, William Edward and Nellie Mae Vaughn; two sisters, Rita Copeland and Lena Wilson; and one brother, Dillard Vaughn.

She is survived by her sons, Seth Benjamin "Benny" Needham Jr. (Cindy) and Roger Thomas Needham (Lisa); grandchildren Kristin Needham (Josh Meadows), Kimberly Tallant (Patrick), Roger Needham Jr. "T.J." (Meagan); and 5 great grandchildren Mason, Isla, Thomas, Austin and Lochlan "Coast".

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, November 2 at the Lakeside Chapel in Greenleaf Memorial Park.
