Alan Chin

Alan Cho-Ming Chin, 33, of New Braunfels, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2013 at the MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas. Alan was born in Des Moines, Iowa to Tony C. Chin and Charla R. McPherren on May 21, 1980. He married Christina Renee Scott on February 4, 2006 in Canton, MI. Alan graduated from Azle High School in 1998 and later earned degrees from the University of North Texas in Denton and the University of Texas at San Antonio. He worked for several companies over the years including, the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI; Digital Defense Inc. of San Antonio; Research in Motion in Irving, TX and later for CA Inc. in Plano, TX. Alan enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved to travel and during his college years was able to visit Germany, Spain, Italy and France. He is survived by his loving wife, Christina Renee Chin of New Braunfels; son, Alec Yui-Mun Chin; daughter, Catheryn Wai-Ling Chin; parents, Tony and Charla Chin of Trabuco Canyon, CA; sister, Kelly James; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, August 4, 2013 at the Zoeller Funeral Home with Reverend Harold Sassman officiating. Memorial Contributions may be given to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society: Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202
