Alane was always a favorite friend,  and I knew her family.  She brought a lot of happiness  and love to those around her.  She was a lover of the Lord,  and it showed.

My sincere condolences to the family and co-workers.  We have all lost a "shining star" in New Braunfels.

Alane, May you Rest In Peace and enjoy the heavens above. I always admired how intelligent, beautiful and entrepreneur minded you were. I loved how you took an hour out of your busy schedule to walk with me and discuss my future dreams. Thank you for your precious time in teaching me that I can do all things in trusting the lord and believing in myself. You taught me if I want it, go get it. Thank you again. I will always remember you and think of you often.  River city restaurant will always be one of my favorite places to eat. ♥️😀

I first met Alane through my sister, Susan. We were at the Cafe eating the best chicken fried steak ever when Alane sat down at our table. Like everyone I was entranced and enthralled by her presence. Then she had me write a paragraph using pen and paper so she could “read” my handwriting. After reading a few minutes, she asked me bluntly, “why do you always choose women who don’t appreciate you?” I immediately knew that I wanted her in my life. She told me truths that I did not always want to hear. But she was always loving, caring, and filled with good humor.  A true loss....

To know my cousin, Alane, was to love her.  It was evident early on that she was special. Alane was witty, fun, beautiful, resilient, talented in so many ways, and she was a woman of God.  She expressed herself well, both in writing and speaking, and her words were powerful and insightful.  Growing up, we loved having our Texas relatives come each year in August when we had our Murray family reunion.  As we grew up and started families of our own, the visits were not as frequent. One thing was for sure, though, our Texas cousins have always had a special place in our hearts!  I pray God's blessings for peace for Alane's sons, Scott and Drew Cameron, and their families as they adjust to life without our precious Alane. I love you all!

Alane lived right across the hall from me at Kilgore College and I liked her from the first moment I met her. So full of life, fun loving and just a good friend..I tried to find her in New Braunfels several years ago to no avail. Sending many prayers to her family. I know her vibrant personality will be missed especially by her loved ones.

Alane, 
I am Alane’s cousin from North Carolina,  as children we North Carolina cousins would sit on the curb waiting for the Woodard crew to arrive for their summer visit. Charlotte, Alane , Don and Paul. The family would split up and stay with different cousins. Alane  Don would most times stay with our family. We would all stay out side till dark thirty as kids running and playing with the NC cousins. We all lived with in a mile or so from each other in Raleigh. As we grew older, Alane would lead us in to mischievous things, we took a ride to see our cousins in Zebulon NC. Alane brought toilet paper, seems in Longview it was popular to roll peoples houses with paper. We did just that. We spent the next day picking toilet paper up in many yards in that small town. It was fun however. Alane was beautiful inside and out, she always had a smile and some great thoughts for all of us. I remember I proud I was to watch the Cotton Bowl parade on TV looking for Alane who was a Kilgore Rangerettes  That was a big deal. We all have great memories of the great food she served up to all. We North Carolina cousins send our love Thoughts and prayers to our Texas Family, know that you are loved by all of us. Rest In Peace Alane, we will gather up someday to reminisce about our great days in this earth, in the Words of my friend of thirty years Vince Gill” Go Rest High on That Mountain Alane, Your work on Earth is Done”

After days and days of going around doing trial tastings for our wedding we found Alane. Her restaurant was recommended to us by my Mother in Law who had tasted her food at another event. We walked in, were seated and then Alane came over. She was full of smiles and love and it was like having lunch with an old family friend. She made us feel so comfortable and not to mention she served us a full 5 course meal! It was a no brainer. The food was delicious, she was so kind and lovely - we knew she was the one who would fill our guests with delicious fresh food on our wedding day! Ever since that day everytime we are in town we visit the restaurant and it always makes us feel happy :). 
Our condolences go to the family, from the one visit we had with her we knew she was a genuine kind hearted woman. May she rest is peace. 

Alane was a god loving, amazing, talented, hardworking, dedicated, ALL about her family and friends. There was never a day I saw her without a smile, or making you laugh. She just understood everyone who came across her path. So blessed with precious memories with her. 

I have so many memories that Alane and I shared while we worked at T Bar M. But most of my memories are of Scott and Matt being friends and Alane and I dealing with them. They were good and we laughed at most of the things they did but we didn’t want them to know it. We were even called in jointly on something the boys had done at Christian Academy. I did all the talking and Alane froze. You all know that’s not usually Alane’s response. After it was over, she said “Wow, you shocked me with what you said. You are usually so quiet.” I responded with.. well one of us had to talk!  We laughed hysterically. I will truly miss her friendship and wonderful smile!

Alane was one of my closest friends in Longview High School. I remember her energy for fun and her natural talent for public speaking. She was gifted, funny, and the brightest and most creative light in the room wherever she went. We dated quite often. I remember her for her great sense of humor, for being best dance partner on the Roundup Club dance floor, and for her generosity!

Alane was a great lady with a spitfire personality. She was a wonderful boss and loving person. Our condolences and love to the family.

She is survived by her sons, Scott Nelson Cameron and wife Elizabeth of New Braunfels; and Drew Charles Cameron and wife Samantha of New Braunfels; seven grandchildren, Logan Cantu, Coby Cameron, Grayson Cameron, and Beau Cameron, Matthew Smith Kade Cameron and Ty Cameron; best friend and business partner, Shari Segalle; brothers, Donald Woodard and wife Melony of Austin, TX and Paul Woodard and wife Cheryl of Pittsburg, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Charles Woodard and mother Marie; husband Donald Cameron; sister, Charlotte Smith and brother-in-law, Terry Smith.
