Albert F. Novak

Albert F. Novak passed away peacefully at his home in New Braunfels on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at the age of 94. He was born in Yonkers, New York, on February 12, 1916 to Albert J. and Gladys Prosch Novak. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice (Gibney) Novak in 1987 and a grandson, Gregory Michael Novak, in 1975. He is survived by his son, Richard A. Novak and his wife Ellen Marie Novak of New Braunfels and by two grandsons, Brian and wife Kimberlea of Schertz and Richard A. Novak II and wife Laura of Manassas, Virginia. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Brandon Joseph Novak, Derek Tyler and Ava Clare Novak. Mr. Novak served in the Coast Guard from 1941 to 1946 and saw action in the North Atlantic on board a U.S. Navy destroyer. Visitation will be at the Zoeller Funeral Home on Sunday, March 21st. from 5-9 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be conducted on Monday, March 22nd. at 9:30 a.m. at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Interment will be at a later date in Hawthorne, NY.
