Anthony was born on December 16, 1943 in Iowa City, Iowa to the late Henry Gioimo and Mae (Huffman) Gioimo. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Michael Gioimo and Richard Gioimo.
He is survived by his wife Anna (Morici) Gioimo, and his four children, Tracey Gioimo, Gina (Gioimo) Brock, Tammy (Gioimo) and John Ahlers, Peter Gioimo, his grandchildren Jared, Jordan, Jensen, Luke and his brother Charles Gioimo.
Tony worked for Northwest Airlines from May 1963 until his retirement in December 2005, during that time he enjoyed the travel benefits of his career and continued to enjoy travel with his wife Anna after retirement. Tony enjoyed his many visits with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. Tony served in the US Army from 1965 until 1967 and is a member of the Knights of Columbus 4183 chapter at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Braunfels, Texas.
A Public Visitation for Anthony will be held Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St, New Braunfels, Texas 78130. A holy rosary will occur Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 7:00 PM, 615 Landa St, New Braunfels, Texas 78130. A holy mass will occur Monday, November 15, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 386 N Castell Ave, New Braunfels, Texas 78130.
