Benigna (Rodriguez) Reyes

Benigna (Rodriguez) Reyes, age 88, of New Braunfels, Texas passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Benigna was born in New Braunfels, Texas to Jose Salome Rodriguez and Rosa Garcia on February 18, 1937.

Benigna attended New Braunfels High School to the 11th grade. She later met Roger C. Reyes and were married for 61 years before his passing in 2018. Benigna worked at the New Braunfels Cleaners for many years and was a Stay at Home Mom.

Benigna was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Comal Bowling League. She was a fast pitch softball pitcher as well. Benigna sewed and was a great cook, very sporty and cared for her entire family. She was one of the kindest, sweetest, funniest, persons we have ever met and we are blessed to have had her as our mom.

Benigna is survived by her children; Roger (Roy) Reyes & Rita, Oscar Reyes & Diana, Deborah K. Castilleja, Delia R. Reyes. Grandchildren; Catrina Gomez, Roxanne Reyes, Danielle Duran, Cavanaugh Castilleja, Stephani McGregor, Graciela Hickman, O. Reyes and 11 great grandchildren, and niece Sonja Bergarra.

A holy rosary for Benigna will be held Friday, May 30, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St, New Braunfels, Texas 78130. A chapel service will occur Friday, May 30, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 615 Landa St, New Braunfels, Texas 78130. A committal service will occur Friday, May 30, 2025 from 1:45 PM to 2:15 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78209.
