I'm so very sorry to hear of the passing of Bernice! She was a beautiful Lady, on the inside and out! I loved watching her and Frank on the dance floor! I have so many years of wonderful memories of Bernice during our Grange days, but my fondest memories, were the years in the Rose Drill with her! She was such a graceful woman! My deepest sympathy to Larry and Susan, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and her many friends! Heaven has gained a beautiful Angel!

So sorry about your loss, Larry and Susan. Your mom was a wonderful person. I remember she made you the best sandwiches when we were youngsters at Davenport. I was so envious. I hope they tasted as good as they looked. She got to live a full life and will be missed.
Sincerely,
Kathy Creel

Bernice always had a hug waiting for you when she saw you. I could say she was Nana, Aunt and cousin and those would all be true . She loved her family whether it be blood relative or chosen family member. She loved to dance and it was wonderful to watch her flow on the dance floor, My heart is with Susan and Larry and the children and grandchildren. I only wish that it were possible to have attended her funeral out of respect and with support for my family. May God’s Blessings and Love be with each of you during your time of grief-
Hugs

From the time George and I married in 1953, Bernice and her family (and especially her sister Gladys), welcomed me into the “tight knit” German community. I was a “foreigner” since I was from Georgia and not German. Bernice and Gladys became our good friends. I will miss her. She was such a lovely lady.
