Beulah Bell Wright Simpson

Beulah (Bobbie) Simpson, 96, of Canyon Lake headed for home to be reunited with her husband, Clarence and other dearly missed family members on January 13, 2015. She slipped away peacefully in the arms of her daughter, son and wonderful friend, Debbie Flores.

Beulah was born in Tarpley, Tx. August 31, 1918. She earned a degree from Trinity University which began a teaching career which lasted for 30 years in the Harlandale school district. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Texas 0750 Harlandale. She was very proud of her “Southside” roots.

She was a lifetime member of the Harlandale Baptist Church, and she, along with her husband, instilled Christian values for their children to be able meet life challenges with faith and determination. She loved having a house full of people for weekend gatherings at her beach home in Port Aransas and Canyon Lake. If there was not enough beds to go around, she would make pallets all over the floor to accommodate anyone not getting lucky enough to grab a bed. The more the merrier as far as she was concerned. She became great friends with all her childrens’ friends of which many are still in her life. She also loved going to Gruene Hall on Saturday afternoons to listen to the music. Her last trip to Gruene Hall was on November 2014. She had a very strong love of her family and very adventurous spirit. No words can describe how she will be missed

She is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Clarence Simpson and daughter, Sharron Simpson Jones. Mother and Father, Jim B. & Eunice (Miller) Wright; brother, John Wright. She is survived by her son, Donnie Simpson and wife Carolyn and daughter, Susan Simpson and husband Joe Fiser; two grandchildren Donna Lynn Jones and husband Chris and Debbie Lee Wilson and husband Heath; two great granddaughters Kaitlin Corbell and McKenna Echols.

Public Visitation will begin 5:00 PM Friday, Jan 23, 2015 at Zoeller Funeral Home and will continue until 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Zoeller Funeral Home. Funeral Services will conclude at the funeral home.
