Billy J. Knight

Billy J. Knight, 81, of New Braunfels, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015 at the Christus Santa Rosa Hospital New Braunfels. He was born to Owen Manuel Knight and Bessie Lula (Merrell) Knight in Kilgore, Texas on January 25, 1934. Billy worked many years as a Teacher for Comal Independent School District teaching Industrial Training. He enjoyed helping his students prepare to enter the workforce and training them for the various occupations.

He is survived by son, Phillip J. Knight and wife Mary Kay of Powder Springs, GA; son, Brian J. Knight and wife Debra K. of New Braunfels; sister, Martha Johnson of Carrollton, TX; step-sons, Gary Tausch and wife Gail of New Braunfels and Terry Tausch and wife Ela of Plano, TX; grandchildren, Destiny J. Knight, Bradley J. Knight, Caitlin T. Knight and Andrew J. Knight; step-grandchildren, Tara Pinkston, Reid Tausch, Nicholas Tausch, and Eric Tausch. He is preceded in death by first wife, Jane Knight and wife, Ora Mae Knight.

Public Visitation will begin 6:00 PM Tuesday at Zoeller Funeral Home and will continue until 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Zoeller Funeral Home with burial to follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to First Protestant Church New Braunfels.
