

Blaze Dean Baker, 29 years old, of Canyon Lake, was unexpectedly taken from this earth on Wednesday, November 20, 2013. Blaze was born December 15, 1983 to Bobby and Susan Baker in New Orleans,Louisiana. The family moved to Kingwood, Texas where Blaze graduated high school. San Marcos, Texas was his next destination for college where he met his neighbor and the love of his life Jada. After a four year courtship they married on October 17, 2009. They along with their beloved dog Marley have resided in Canyon Lake at their peaceful country home. Blaze graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Geography and recently received his Real Estate License. He deeply loved his family and was a devoted husband and father to his dog daughter Marley. Blaze enjoyed working around the yard, gardening and was quite the chef! He closely followed politics and conservative talk radio. Blaze was also an avid gun enthusiast. But most of all he enjoyed being home with his family! Blaze is survived by his wife, Jada Baker and his dog Marley. He is also survived by his parents Bobby and Susan Baker, brother Kyle Baker, grandfather Charles Swinson, in-laws Bay and Jo Ann Laxson, brothers in-law Jason (Jessica Saye) and Jerad Laxson. Other family and friends: Sandy, Mike, Michael, Michele Thibodeaux, Claudette & Hans Schlegel; David and Elizabeth Swinson; Kim, Harold, and Josh Juno.
Visitation will be from 6 pm until 8 pm Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Zoeller Funeral Home. Memorial services will be Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 11 am at First United Methodist Church in New Braunfels. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Wounded Warriors Project or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
