The Morongs invited us to join them for the Memorial weekends at Canyon Lake and we remember being nervous the first time about being the new-comers and not knowing anyone, but Buddy immediately made us feel so welcome and part of the gang.  He made such a lasting impression on us as someone who truly knew how important it was to have fun and enjoy life.

Uncle Buddy was my family by choice. I have such fond memories of spending Memorial Day Weekend out at the lake sailing and camping and playing on the boats. He could always fix anything, and cared so much about making sure everyone was safe and happy. I remember spending my 4th of July weekend with him and the rest of my Watson family down at the Island. His smile was infectious and his laughter equally so. I will never forget the years he brought joy and love to this family. I miss you Uncle Buddy! Love to all of my Watson family!

I had the opportunity to work with Buddy while he was at Detex and Lathem. I always considered him a friend. Buddy always had a smile and a kind word for who ever he met. I learned a lot from Buddy and will miss him dearly. My prayers go out to the Watson family & his friends.

I always enjoyed being around Buddy. I considered him a good friend. I first met Buddy while he was working for Detex Corp. Together we sold hundreds of electronic guard tour systems. Later When I joined Lathem Time Corp Buddy soon come on board and we traveled the country selling Lathem Time Products. I learned a lot from Buddy and will miss him. My heart and prayers go out to The Watson family and all his friends.

Growing up in New Braunfels, I learned to know Buddy probably in middle school or junior high, as we used to call it and then graduated with him and Diane.  He was such a delight to know, and I will always remember how he made everyone laugh.  Buddy will be missed more than words can describe.

I had the honor and pleasure of meeting Buddy two or three times. He was that rare individual that when you think of him, there were only positive, happy thoughts. I remember that fancy bike he was riding. I will ALWAYS have a deep love, respect, and warmth for this dear man. God rest his dear sweet soul.

LLoyd, you & the rest of the family have my sincerist sympathies. I don't recall ever having met Buddy, but if he was your brother, then he must have been a great guy! You all will be in my thoughts & prayers during this trying time.

I am totally shocked to hear of Buddy's passing. Not only did I work with Buddy at Detex for many years but he was also a personal friend. I remember many fun times at the island. You always knew when Buddy was there. He was always the life of the party and could always make you laugh. My husband Doug had known Buddy through dealings with Detex as well. When Doug and I got married in 1998 Buddy took our wedding pictures. When I moved to Ohio Buddy kept an eye on my rental house which was near his parents home. Anything that needed to be done there he took care of for me. You could not ask for a better friend than Buddy. He was the sweetest, most intelligent and kind person you could know. Dianne, Eric, Justin and Jennifer our prays are with you. And take comfort in knowing you will together again one day. God Bless you.

Buddy was one of the first and friendliest coworkers to welcome me when I started at Alterman.  He could always be counted on for a kind word, radiant positivity, and a hearty dose of silliness.  Buddy made a lot of my days brighter here, and he'll be missed greatly.

I remember all the times at the Island when we would be playing V-ball or Rag Tag ,seaweed fight he was always willing to play along with everyone. He will be missed by many and remembered by all he met and the lives he touched.

Buddy and Diane were both friends growing up in New Braunfels.  Buddy had a way of always making others feel good and valued. There will be a hole in NB! Thank you for sharing the wonderful pictures; they show the life he left behind.

Buddy was my classmate at SWTSU, a coworker at International Electric and at Detex Corporation and a security client of mine in more recent years. Buddy will be sorely missed by everyone that he touched throughout his life.  I know the auctions will not be the same without him or that whistle.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Buddy was my uncle-by-choice.  God brought him into my family's life and we are all richer for it.

I worked with Buddy at Alterman Electric and found him to be a very friendly, kind fellow.  He always had a smile and laugh and something interesting to say.  Thoughts and prayers to the entire family.

I did not know Buddy.  But, his daughter Jen is a friend of my son and I would like to tell her that we are all so saddened to learn of the death of her father.  All of us in the Russell family want Jen (and her entire family) to know that our hearts are with you all in this time of your grief and sorrow.

What a wonderful, wonderful friend Buddy was to whoever he came across. He was immediately a favorite when we all met him at Landa Park Pool in the late 60's and we all became fast friends with the entire family. We feel blessed to have known Buddy and we'll all miss that huge smile that was always on his beautiful face. God has another NB angel watching over us. RIP, Buddy!

Buddy was such a lovable and funny person.  I remember him from high school as the class clown.  He married one of my best friends, Diane, and had a beautiful family.  My thoughts and prayers are with you now, Diane. Be strong, cherish your children and all the good times.

I have so many fond memories of Buddy. I remember working with him at the Park before he went to Thailand. Then when he came home going to visit him and Dee in Utah, that was fun and exciting...gliders and matchstick houses. We were always laughing and playing and joking around. I even remember him being hit, I think, on the Plaza after he got out the service.He was in Community Hosp. in SA. Oh such good times at the Island, Memorial Days at the Lake, Camping at the Coast.
