

His first bed was a chest of drawers. A proud member of the Fighting Unicorn Band, graduate of New Braunfels High School and received a degree in Industrial Technology form Southwest Texas State University. He served in Thailand with the United States Air Force. An Accomplished Eagle Scout, Buddy’s joys in life were his family, adopted families, sailing, camping and cars. Jack all of trades epitomized his boundless talent to create, fix, rig, or produce anything that any organization, person, family, friend or stranger needed. This was the guy you hoped pulled over to help you on the side of the road.
He is survived by his mother, Gene Watson; his wife, Diane Wieding Watson; sons, Eric Watson and wife Jullian and Justin Watson; daughter, Jennifer Watson; grandson, Aidan Watson; brother, Donald Watson and wife Debbie and Lloyd Watson and wife Denise; sister, Judy Young and husband Lester; In-laws, Walt and Joyce Wieding and brother-in-law, Duane Wieding and wife Delores. He had the time of his life being the pied piper of fun to his 12 nieces and nephews; 6 great nieces and nephews; as well as all their friends. He also cherished his cousins, Shirley, Martha and Rayford Silkwood and his Aunt, Wanda Silkwood. His “adopted” family and friends are too many to mention-he was blessed.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Monday at the Zoeller Funeral Home with the family to greet friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Zoeller Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow in the Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be given to the Gary Simon Scholarship Fund or the Boys Scout.
