Always ready for the next adventure, Ben pushed the limits in every aspect of his life. His career path in advertising, following his graduation from Southwest Texas State, led him to be a top producing sales representative at a national company. At the same time, he earned a patent on an ad specialty product called the Hanger Holder that was sold internationally and was a member of the Houston Inventors Association.
After moving to New Braunfels in 1998, he eventually branched out into publishing his own magazines through his company Full Moon Media. This grew to 4 titles in the San Antonio/Hill Country area, one of which had 3 separate distinct markets. A party at his home to thank his advertisers, morphed into the New Braunfels Crawfish Festival in 2014 and it was a huge burst to the tourism industry every April for the town he called home. When COVID hit, the festival was retired and he began a career in real estate.
He is survived by his wife Sharon (Meyer) Jones and his bonus children, Logan Meyer and wife Olivia, Jarod Meyer and fiancee Azh, Kendall Meyer, and Shajuan Meyer. His children Dr. Jonathan Ruzicka and wife Britney of Magnolia, Jessica Jones Statman of New Braunfels, Dylan River Jones and Kasey Kai Jones, also of New Braunfels. He was so proud to be Pop-Pop to his six grandchildren, Bella, Noah, Ozzie, Arlan, "Tonka" and Riverlynn.
