Camille Lynette Cannon

Camille was preceded in death by her brother, Tim, daughter, Amanda, and parents, Clayton and Elaine Smith.

She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Windell, sons, David (Tracy), Brett (LaDonna), and Darrow, grandchildren, Tyler, Elaine, Sophie, Landry, Casey, Cody, Brady, Brittany, Danielle, and Carysa, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, her brother Clayton (Tina), her sister Charmaine, her twin brother Tom, and her sister Shawn (Mike), and numerous cousins and many nieces and nephews.

Camille (Cammie) spent her early years as a registered nurse and loved taking care of her patients and her family. After she retired, she enjoyed spending her days doing yard work, feeding the birds, going on walks with her beloved dog Little Mama, and traveling the world with her husband, exploring new and exciting places together. Some of her hobbies included shopping for that “just right” greeting card for the loved ones and many friends in her life, trying new recipes, clipping newspaper articles, and discovering quaint little shops where she would get all her Christmas gift ideas, making lifelong friends along the way. Cammie loved Christmas and decorated the house with a Christmas tree in every room and stockings for all the grandchildren. She loved opening her home to all her friends and family who came to celebrate the holiday together. She recently spent her time doting on her two dogs Chloe Jean and Ella May, sitting outside with them and soaking up the warmth of the sun, then ending the day spoiling them with some dog treats.

Cammie will be remembered by her great sense of style, quirky hats, sensitive soul, kind and loving heart, and her generous nature. She was and is dearly loved by all those that knew her. To know Cammie was to love her, and she will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St, New Braunfels, Texas, 78130 from 3pm to 7pm, with the Rosary service starting at 6pm.

Funeral services will be at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 386 N Castell Avenue, New Braunfels, Texas, 78130 at 10am on Monday, September 8, 2025. The reception for family and friends will follow the funeral services at the Cannon home.
