Celia "Bonnie" Johnson

Celia Bonnie Johnson, a very adored & loved Mother of five daughters, departed to Heaven October 15, 2025. She was surrounded by her family. Bonnie was married to James “Pete” Floyd Johnson who passed away October 13, 2012. He was a Vietnam War Hero.

She dedicated her life to her family providing unwavering love and inspiration. Described by those close to her as strong, kind and loving, she was a true warrior – facing life’s challenges with determination, courage, and heart.

Her greatest joy was to have her family together and her home filled with games, music , love and laughter. She was a strong believer in her Christian faith and now rests in the hands of Christ, which brings the family much comfort.

Bonnie is lovingly remembered by her cherished daughters Virginia Ann Powell, Carol Debra Blackmon, Alice Rose Thomas, Lyla Lee Cordani and Patricia Marie Owen. Her grandchildren Ryan Shockley, Natalie Dean & husband Mike, Matthew Simmons & wife Lisa, Danielle Cordani and Christopher Blackmon knew her lovingly as “Honey”. Her great grandchildren are Chloe Laine Simmons and Maxwell Stone Simmons. Her sons in law David Thomas and Richard Owen, always provided tremendous support and cheerful moments which brought her many smiles. Her lifelong best friend and sister in law, Beatrice Mueller plus many nieces, nephews and extended friends and family - she will forever be missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa, New Braunfels, Texas 78130 on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Immediately following the ceremony, a gathering will be held at Dave & Alice Thomas’ home.
