Celia Sanchez Villalpando

Celia Sanchez Villalpando, of New Braunfels, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the age of 80. She was born to Thomas Ramon Sanchez and Manuelita Gutierrez on November 3, 1934 in New Braunfels, Texas. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Celia is survived by her 11 loving children; daughters, Celia Escobedo, Anna Escobedo, Rosalinda Gutierrez, Mary Helen Horton, and Tina Escobedo of New Braunfels; sons, Joe Escobedo and wife Un Sun of Cibolo, Tx., Ray Escobedo and wife Maria of New Braunfels, Arvey Escobedo and wife Sue of Atlanta, GA., Abelardo Escobedo of New Braunfels, Arturo Escobedo and wife Virginia of San Marcos, and German Escobedo of New Braunfels. Celia is also survived by her 23 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

Public Visitation will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home on Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 5:00-9:00pm; with a Rosary recited by Deacon Sandy Morales at 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 1:00pm at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hill Country Memorial Gardens.
