

Charles “Andy” Squire, a beloved Son, Brother, Grandson, Nephew and Cousin, passed away on November 20, 2022, surrounded by family after a valiant battle with cancer. Andy was born June 27, 1973 to Charles E. Squire and Carol Duffy in San Antonio, Texas. The eldest son of two children. He attended the S.W. School District, enjoyed playing tuba in the marching band and competed at the State Level in Concert Tuba. He made lifelong friendships in the band family. He left UTSA to join the USAF where he enjoyed a successful 12 year career as a Precision Measurement Equipment Lab (PMEL) with three of those years in foreign service, where he forged lifelong friendships he treasured until his passing. He earned the AF Achievement Medal, AF Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, AF Short Tour Ribbon, AF Training Ribbon, AF Longevity Service Award, with 2 Oak leaf Clusters, (OLC) NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal with 1 OLC, AF Outstanding Unit Award with valor with 4 OLC, AF, Good Conduct Medal with 2 OLC, Korean Defense Service Medal and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. He was stationed in Germany, Korea and Saudi Arabia. After active duty military service he contracted in the private sector ending up at Corpus Christi NAS.
He is survived by his sister, Jennifer Squire; parents, Carol Duffy Squire; father, Charles Squire and stepmother Rose; Grandfather, James Duffy; numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Andy was a godfather to Austin and Aaron Little. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joanne Duffy; his Grandpa and Grandma Squire; aunt, Sue; uncles Bill, Jim, Harley, Harvey.
He loved music, travel, building computers, an avid gun collector and marksman, hunting and gaming.
The family would like to thank Embrace Hospice Services for their loving care of Andy.
Public visitation will begin 4:00 PM Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St. New Braunfels, Texas and will continue until service time. A Funeral Service will be held 5:00 PM, Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Zoeller Funeral Home. Services will conclude at the Funeral Home.
