February 26, 1979 – July 7, 2025
Christine “Chrissy” Jean Dallefeld passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 7, 2025, in New Braunfels, Texas. She was 46 years old.
Chrissy was born on February 26, 1979, in Spring, Texas, where she spent her early years and attended school. A proud graduate of Klein High School, Chrissy was widely respected as a dedicated and talented student athletic trainer, a role she cherished and poured her heart into. After graduation, her family relocated to Lake Conroe in Montgomery, Texas, where Chrissy worked in various roles, but her true calling always led her back to caring for children and serving through her church, First United Methodist.
A woman of deep compassion and quiet strength, Chrissy’s love extended far beyond people—she was also a devoted animal lover. She was a loving “dog mommy” to her cherished Sandy and many other beloved fur babies over the years. Her nurturing nature touched every living thing lucky enough to be in her care.
Chrissy recently moved to New Braunfels to be closer to family, a decision that brought her immense joy and comfort in her final chapter. To know Chrissy was to experience genuine kindness, sincerity, and a spirit that radiated light. She had a gift for memory like no other—recalling vivid stories and treasured family moments with astonishing detail. She became the family historian, preserving legacies and connecting generations with her storytelling.
Chrissy was an avid reader with a special love for Greek mythology, and she had recently developed an enthusiasm for WWF wrestling—delighting in the theatrical spirit of the sport. She found joy in the simple pleasures and lived with a deep appreciation for the people and pets she loved.
Chrissy was predeceased by her father, Richard Dallefeld; her paternal grandparents, Lyle and Marian Dallefeld; her maternal grandparents, Conrad and Lorraine Hayman; her aunt, Patricia Hayman; and her beloved Sandy.
She is lovingly survived by her mother, Mary Jean Dallefeld; her cousin Steve Bumgardner and his wife, Jill; her cousin Cathy Booker and husband, Ron; and her cousins Brooke and Dane, Nicole, Kayla, and Jasmyn. Chrissy’s presence in the family was a treasured constant—gentle, joyful, and profoundly loyal.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Chrissy’s dedicated caregivers—Melinda Botello, Christine Montoya, Jessica Taylor, Belia Ochoa, Shelly Phillips, Monica Arriaga, Ashley Kitchen, and Gloria Jordan, whose loving support brought laughs, comfort, dignity, and peace to Chrissy, especially in her final days. Your committed care will never be forgotten.
Chrissy’s legacy is one of pure love, vibrant memories, and unwavering devotion to those around her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved her.
