Born in Arcadia, California, Chris built a life centered around the people she loved. She worked in accounting throughout her career and was a devoted wife to David Geiss, a loving mother to Stephanie (Steven), Jeffrey (Laura), Tiffany (Adeboye), Cari (Christian), and Brianna (James), and a proud grandmother to Jaeden, Kayleigh, Hailey, Carley, Sebastian, Ezra, Finley, Emilia, Isaiah, Shiloh, and Theo. She is also survived by her brothers, John (Leigh Ann), Robert "Bubba" (Cindi), and Douglas (Christine).
Chris was preceded in death by her father, John Batchelder; her stepfather, Thomas Reeves; and her mother, Shirley Reeves.
Chris will be remembered for her quick wit, warm heart, and the way she always showed up for the people she loved. She spent years cheering from the sidelines at softball and soccer games, sharing pinky shakes for good luck, and making sure her family always knew she was in their corner. She also loved watching baseball and football, spending time at the beach or pool, and, most of all,
going on cruises.
Her family finds comfort knowing she is now in paradise, in the arms of Jesus, reunited with the loved ones who went before her.
It's not goodbye. As Chris often said, "See you later, gater."
Services will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels on September 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., and at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California, on September 17, 2026, at 11 :00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, honor Chris by cheering from the sidelines, taking someone you love to a game, or making a donation to support bladder cancer research. Above all, show up for the people you
love.
