Claudatte was born on November 15, 1934 in San Augustine, Texas, the daughter of Arnold and Claude Jones (Huntt). After her marriage in Las Cruces, New Mexico they lived in Houston, Texas, New Orleans, Louisiana, and El Paso, Texas. Upon retirement in 2002 they settled in New Braunfels, Texas.
Claudatte is survived by her husband David, daughters Jennifer Driscoll and Amanda Barron, sister Linda McKeehan, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She loved her family dearly. She was preceded in death by her son Walter Lindsey, brother Cherry E. Jones and sister Bonnie Jean Bennett.
Claudatte was devoted to her children, teaching them with wisdom and grace on the way they should go. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and meeting people. She was an avid reader of the Bible. Claudatte had a gentle and sweet demeanor and was always soft spoken. Those who met her liked her immediately. She brought goodness to her husband all the days of their marriage.
Claudatte’s memory will always be in the hearts of those she loved.
