Cosette Weliver

She was born in Beaumont, TX, to James & Patricia Ashworth on November 29, 1951, the eldest of 3 siblings. She graduated from Ross Sterling High School in 1970. She married David Seitz in 1973 and worked at Prudential Insurance for over 10 years. She left to pursue motherhood, and in 1985 her son Aaron was born.

She pursued her passion for creativity and eye for detail by working at Friendswood Frame & Gallery following her divorce, during which time she reconnected with Howard. In 2009 they began dating, and in 2011 they began their new life together as husband and wife. They moved to New Braunfels in 2012, and together they pursued their shared love of travel, visiting many new places during their time together.

Her lifelong love of nature was nurtured on her grandmother's farm. She was joined by many four-legged friends throughout her life, both feline and canine, and was an avid gardener of food & flowers. She was a member of the Comal Garden Club and enjoyed volunteering with Howard & the Lions Club at Wurstfest. She also loved cooking, which she shared with her son & Howard.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Pat; father, Jim; and brother, Reagan. She is survived by her husband, Howard; sister Judy and brother-in-law, Al; son Aaron, daughter-in-law Ashley, and granddaughter Elizabeth Cosette; stepson Howard Jr. and his wife, Lauren; stepson Todd; and many other loving family members and friends.

She will be remembered best for her bountiful love and kindness and her beautiful smile.

Services will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. Visitation will be at 12:00-1:00 PM, with Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will immediately follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
