

Curtis Collin Seiffert, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2024, reuniting with his high school sweetheart and wife of 68 years, Janice (Johnson) Seiffert. He was born in North Dakota to Luella and Collin Seiffert and raised on a farm, where lifelong values of hard work and dedication were instilled.
Curt graduated from Westhope High School in Westhope, North Dakota, before pursuing higher education at Texas Lutheran College, earning a Bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1973, and later obtaining a master’s degree Of Public Administration from University of Oklahoma in 1979. Curt proudly served in the United States Air Force and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant in September 1976 after 21 years. His commendable service included receiving the Airman of the Year award in 1957, the Air Force Commendation medal 1960, the Air Force Commendation medal for Meritorious Service 1968 (1st Oak Leaf Cluster), and The Meritorious Service Medal in 1976.
Post-military, Curt worked with North Dakota Tax Commissioner Byron Dorgan before moving back to Texas to be closer to family. He was employed by Holmes & Shaw as Vice President, playing a critical role in developing their payroll program for Paychex. Curt's agricultural roots led him and Jan to purchase land in Fischer, Texas, where they raised Red Brangus cattle, Boer goats, and a variety of other animals.
Curtis was predeceased by his parents, Luella and Collin, and his beloved wife Janice. He is survived by his children, Cheryl Franklin, Patrice (Bill White) Seiffert, and Kerry (Judy) Seiffert; grandchildren Tara (Franklin) Stratton, Trey Collin Franklin, Tori (Franklin) Murphy, Collin Ray Seiffert, Robin Seiffert, Dayna Seiffert, and Kristin Seiffert.. He also leaves behind his siblings, Connie, Donnie, Michael, James, Janet, Robert,Janelle and Steven Seiffert.
Visitation will be held on May 28, 2024, at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa Street, New Braunfels, Texas, from 5:00-8:00 pm.
Funeral Services will take place at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 7420 FM 2673, Canyon Lake, Texas, on May 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Reception to follow. Pastor Judy Miller will officiate the ceremony. Pallbearers are Kerry Seiffert, Collin Seiffert, Trey Franklin and Michael Seiffert, Robert Seiffert and Steven Seiffert.
Curtis will be interred with full military honors at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio Texas 78208, on June 5, 2024, at 1:30 PM.
All are welcomed to attend and celebrate Curt Seiffert’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Westhope cemetery to assist with the upkeep.
