Cynthia Ann Perkins Bradfute
October 8,1935 - November 12,2025
Trusting in Jesus’ promise to prepare a place for us, we take comfort in knowing that our beloved mother, Cynthia Ann Perkins Bradfute, was welcomed to her eternal home on November 12, 2025 at the beautiful age of 90. Cynthia and Roland Bradfute, the love of her life, raised their family in Beeville, Texas for 34 years before moving to New Braunfels, Texas. Their home was a place of welcome, warmth, and steady encouragement -- the kind of place where you always felt seen, known, and loved.
Roland and Cynthia served the Lord’s church at Beeville Church of Christ and New Braunfels Church of Christ side by side until he was called to his eternal home in 2015.
Cynthia was born on October 8,1935, in Telephone, Texas, to William Randolph and Eva Luvisey (Hill) Perkins. She loved to share stories of growing up with 3 brothers and 3 sisters on the farm and of moving often with her father’s job building bridges around east Texas. Cynthia will be greatly missed by her daughter, Glenda (Mark) Morrow, son, Roland (Sherri) Bradfute, Jr., daughter, Judy (Jackie) Black, son, Eugene (Shawna) Bradfute, a daughter chosen by love and welcomed into our lives, Michelle (Michael) Williams and brother, William Don Perkins. Carrying on her legacy are grandchildren Chandra, Melanie, Ryan, Bradley, Danley, Adrianne, Amy, Jackie Don, Jaci, Jilli, Ecce, Katelyn, Matthew, Madison, Marcus and 36 precious great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by great granddaughter, Amberly.
Cynthia found joy in the simple beauties of God’s creation. Her garden was her sanctuary, a patchwork of colors and fragrances that she tended with patient hands and she especially enjoyed the company of butterflies her garden brought. She loved collecting small treasures from the outdoors -- smooth stones, tiny pinecones, seed pods, feathers -- little reminders of God’s presence in the everyday.
Cynthia’s creative gifts were woven into every part of her life. She was an exceptional quilter and seamstress, crafting beautiful quilts and handmade pieces that carried warmth, artistry, and love in every stitch. She was also a gifted baker. Pies were her specialty, bringing friends and family regularly around her table. Those talents were never just hobbies; they were her way of nurturing others, of turning simple materials into lasting memories. While a senior at A.C. Jones High school in Beeville, Cynthia was named Most Beautiful: not only for her outward beauty, but more importantly for the inward grace and gentle spirit that was evident throughout her life and how she will be remembered by her family.
A celebration of Cynthia’s life will be held on November 24, 2025 at the Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas. Family visitation at 9:00 a.m., Public visitation at 10:00 a.m., Services at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be November 25,2025, 10:00 a.m. at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas.
