Daniel Felix Magallanez, 20, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on September 19, 2024 leaving a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him. A young man of remarkable kindness and compassion, Daniel felt the world deeply, experiencing emotions like joy, sadness, love, and pain with vividness that often overwhelmed him. Yet it was this same empathy that allowed him to connect deeply with others, often sensing feelings that went unspoken.
Daniel excelled academically, graduating high school early, driven by his passion to help others and dream of becoming a nurse. His compassion was evident in everything he did, earning him the love and admiration of friends, family, and teachers alike. He cherished spending time with his little brother, Ryan, and loved walking his dog, Maggie, often finding joy in their adventures together. He was especially excited about becoming an uncle to his beloved niece, Harper. His big heart and radiant spirit will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to cross his path. He will be missed immensely.
Daniel was born to Jacob Magallanez and Jackie DeHoyos in San Marcos, Texas on November 22, 2003. He is Survived by his parents, Jackie Murillo and step-father, Rosendo of New Braunfels, TX ; father, Jacob Magallanez of Lockhart, TX; brother, Ryan Jacob Magallanez of New Braunfels, TX; sister, Adriana Bost and husband Ryan of San Marcos, TX; niece, Harper Bost; maternal grandparents, Maria and Armando DeHoyos of Carrizo Springs, TX; paternal grandmother, Hortencia Magallanez of Lockhart, TX; uncles, Eric DeHoyos, Arthur DeHoyos, Armando DeHoyos, Jr. and Jeff Magallanez; aunts, Diane DeHoyos, Cindy Voigt, Michelle Salazar. And Sonja Villalobos.
Public Visitation will begin at 12 noon on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Zoeller Funeral Home and will continue until service time. A Memorial Service will begin at 2:00 PM in the Zoeller Funeral Home Chapel with a light reception to follow at the funeral home.
