Don W. Craig

Don was born in Stockdale, Texas on December 5, 1941, to Palmer and Virgie Craig. He went to school at Galena Park, Texas. Don graduated from Baylor University. While attending Baylor he met the love of his life, Sandra Rawlings Craig. They married on August 28, 1965, in Lampasas, Texas. Don worked as a coach, teacher and counselor in Houston, Texas for 30 years. Don was involved in Christian counseling and various ministries at Oakwood Church.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Palmer Craig and Virgie West Craig; brothers, Nick Craig, and Jerry Craig. Don is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sandra Craig; daughters, Donna Ruth Schmidt (Darrell) and Stephanie Craig Fisler (Corey); and grandchildren, Dani Schmidt Crippenn (Hank), Daulton Rawlings Schmidt, and Dayton Schmidt.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday. September 30, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Oakwood Church of New Braunfels, officiated by Pastor Ray Still.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bold Mission at Oakwood Church of New Braunfels.
