

Earle Caldwell Holden passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the age of 76. He was born in Boulder, Colorado, to Tom and Virginia Holden on June 21, 1948. With a quiet and gentle soul, Earle brought strength and comfort to many during his time on Earth.
Earle graduated from Marlin High School and, in his early adult life, worked in the grocery business for Safeway. It was there that he met the love of his life, Rose Hildebrand. They were married on May 10, 1978, and together they lived in Austin and Kyle before settling in New Braunfels to raise their four children. Earle’s life was centered around his deep love for his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, family gatherings, cooking, and playing video games.
Earle was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Holden; his son, AM1 (AW) Chris Holden; his parents, Tom and Virginia Holden; his sister, Paula Coker (Jim): his parents in law Victor & Myrtle Hildbrand; and his sister-in-law Victoria Drake; and his brother-in-law Victor Hildebrand Jr.
He was survived by his son, Robert Holden (Stacy); his daughters, Virginia Holden and Kristina Jan (Joey); his grandchildren, Kasey, Katy, Shanna, Rahvyn, Dakota, David, Dustin, Marcos, Cheyenne, Shauna, James, Ali, Emma, Jase, and Sophie; his great-grandchildren, Grace, Holly, and Everly; his brothers-in-law, Greg Hildebrand (Katherine) and Thomas Hildebrand (Trisha); his sister-in-law, Virginia Pape (Jerry); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Earle will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him.
