

At 16 she moved to Syracuse, New York where she completed High School and worked and saved money to buy a one-way ticket to New Braunfels, where her sister was living. There she met the love of her life, Reginald Ludwig, and the two were married in June of 1957.
She worked for several years before devoting her life to her family and raising her children. In 1970, Reggie sold the family business - Ludwig Motor Sales - and the family moved to Killeen, Texas, where they lived until retirement in 1989. They moved back to New Braunfels, where they enjoyed retirement near family and close friends.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband Reggie, father Leonard Christensen, mother Marie Lillian LaFleur Christensen, and three brothers (Martin, Leonard and Leon), and grandson Ross Allan Alexander. She is survived by her children – Rhonda Alexander (and husband Nick), Royd Ludwig (and wife Kathy) and Renee’ Morrill (and husband Sean), grandchildren Shaelyn and Talia Ludwig, and sister Karen Ziesk, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Public Visitation will be held Monday, February 12, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels. A Funeral Service will take place the next day on Tuesday, February 13, at 10:00 a.m. at Zoeller Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Comal Cemetery.
