Ed is survived by his wife, Connie, his daughter Kim (& John) Evans and his son Jeff (& Carol) Hundley, his grandchildren Amber, Samantha and Noah, and his great grandchildren Keilani and Ellie.
Ed grew up in Atchison, Kansas before moving west to California, where he attended Paramount High Schools. He became nationally recognized in auto racing circles in his 20s by winning several national championships (hence his nickname "Fast Eddie"). Ed and Connie moved to Texas in the 80s where he owned and operated a successful company, Precision Metalfab, in Converse Texas from 1984 to 2005.
Ed was a good man in every sense — steady, caring, wise, humble, and strong. He was a loving father and husband who had a lifelong, unwavering devotion to his wife, Connie, who was by his side until the very end.
To those who knew him, Ed was a beloved friend, a man who showed up, who listened, who laughed easily, and who loved deeply. Ed didn’t need a spotlight to make an impact; he made one through kindness, quiet generosity, and the way he treated people. He leaves behind countless memories, lessons, and moments that will stay with us forever.
Though our hearts are heavy, we’re grateful he left this world peacefully and we celebrate the life he lived and take comfort in our faith that he is at home with the Lord.
We will miss you, Dad. Thank you for everything. Rest in peace until we meet again.
