Edwin Daniel Dolezal passed away peacefully on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the age of 87 in New Braunfels, Texas. He was born in Shiner, Texas on July 14, 1929 to Thomas A. Dolezal and Frances Lahodny Dolezal. He married the love of his life, Stella Hughs Dolezal in 1954 in Shiner. He served his country by joining the US Navy, which he retired from after serving for 20 years. He also owned and operated a motel for many years and would volunteer at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Edwin was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Stella Dolezal; and his sister Florine “Rusty” Elmore. He is survived by his sons, Thomas Dolezal and Steven Dolezal.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, January 09, 2017 from 6-8pm at Zoeller Funeral Home. There will be a Graveside Service on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 10:45am at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
