Eleanor A Teinert

Eleanor Adeline Teinert died peacefully on her birthday January 12, 2017. She was born January 12, 1926 in Warda (Giddings), Texas. She attended Teinert School and Holy Cross Lutheran School. She also attended Southwestern Business College in Houston. Eleanor worked at Hartford Insurance Company in Houston until her retirement. While working she was active on bowling teams and traveling throughout the United States and to many countries. She also loved to play dominoes, cards and Bingo with her family and friends. Eleanor was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Houston serving in many capacities until moving to New Braunfels in 2007. She was a member at Cross Lutheran Church there. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents Martha and Theodore Teinert and all of her nine siblings-Edwin, Herbert, Gertrud, Willie, Norbert, Alfred, Elsa, Hermine, and Marvin. She had fifteen nieces and nephews and their families.The family would like to thank Cross Lutheran Church staff and their parishioners for their care, Rio Terra and Interim Hospice for their support.

Memorials may be made to Cross Lutheran Church in New Braunfels or Texas Wendish Heritage Society in Serbin.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Cross Lutheran Church in New Braunfels with a visitation one hour prior. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery in Warda, Texas.
