Elena Vega Garcia

Elena was born in Littlefield Texas on October 20, 1949 to Alejandro Montoya Vega and Elia Mertz Vega. She was a graduate of Seguin High School class of 1968.

Elena is preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother Steven Vega, and 1 sister Lucy Garcia. She is survived by 6 sisters (Gloria Castellon, Mary Alice Melchor, Ester Villanueva, Rose Mary Mercado, Elizabeth Pineda, and Irene Irvin), and 4 brothers (Alex Vega, David Vega, Richard Vega, and John Steven Vega).

Survivors also include her husband, Felix Torres Garcia; 4 daughters – Debbie Gomez, Amy Gonzalez (Scott), Mary Ellen Hernandez (Marco), and Leann Garza (Antonio Garza Sr.). 2 sons – Manuel Rosas Jr. (Dolores), Daniel Rosas (Kelley). 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons Matthew Alejandro, Esau.

Pall Bearers include: Freddy Ramirez, Robert Gutierrez, Antonio Garza Jr., Elijah Hernandez, Joshua Gomez, Jacob McGarity, and Mario Barrera. Honorary Pall bearers: Ingrid Hunt, Frances Altwein, Joann Mertz, David Turner, James Mitchell, Alice Herrera, Sharen Rennspies, Jim Davis, Alex Cervantes and Anthony Villarreal.

The family would like to thank Hospice, and St. Peter and Paul Church for all your dedication and help.

The Visitation will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 5-9pm; with the Rosary at 7pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 9:30am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Interment will immediately follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
