Elena Aleman Gomez, 75, of New Braunfels, Texas passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at her home. She was born to Juan Aleman, Sr., and Florencia Mendez Aleman in New Braunfels, Texas on September 13, 1947.
Elena was all about family. She loved get togethers, loved celebrating her birthday with big parties, singing, dancing, joking and always posing for photos. She loved to cook and bake to feed everyone, all the neighbors. She decorated for every holiday inside and out, every room from corner to corner. She loved her plants (roses, esperanzas and crepe myrtles). She loved her drives around town admiring all the crepe myrtles. Her away time was going to Casinos. She loved company, but you best have a lottery scratch off for her! She was one strong, Bossy Lady, but always there for everyone. So much extra love for her grandkids and great grandkids. They were her boss.
She is survived by daughter, Deborah Sanchez of New Braunfels; son, John Albert Gomez of New Braunfels; grandchildren, Mandy Sanchez, John Gomez, Jr., Matthew Sanchez, and Alexis Gomez; great-grandchildren, Estrella Lopez, Mattilynn Sanchez, Jeremiah Sanchez, Eli Ismael Sanchez, Milo Sanchez and Ilijah Ismael Gomez-Rodriguez; brothers, Pedro (Irene) Aleman and Miguel (Delia) Aleman and sister, Elisa Aguilera; and Martin Sanchez her forever son in law. Also surviving her are numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ismael Gomez, sisters, Lupe Salazar, Manuela Aleman, Herminia Gomez; Josephina Tristan, and Esmeralda Aleman; brothers, Alejandro Aleman, Bernabe Aleman, Manuel Aleman, and Juan Aleman, Jr.
