

Eloy Ramon Lozano, 80, of New Braunfels, peacefully passed into Heaven, surrounded by his family on Sunday, January 22, 2012. He was born in San Marcos, Texas on January 30th 1931 and grew up in Laredo, Texas. No matter where he went or what he saw he always said “they had a better one in Laredo”. He graduated from St. Joseph’s High School, the University of Texas with a degree in Chemistry, MIT, and then a masters in Chemistry from Texas State.
He is preceded by his parents Lloyd R. Lozano and Mary Hormachea. He is survived by his wife Mirta his children Laura, Diana (Dida), Raymond (Sonny), David, daughter-in-law Stephanie, and his three grandchildren Meridith, Katie, and Brooke.
During the Korean War he served in a hospital in Okinawa. Upon returning home he accepted a position with the Environmental Protection Agency and retired as a Director.
He leaves many family members and his golfing buddies especially his best friend Clyde Mendez. He shall be missed and will be in our hearts forever.
