Elvira Hilda (Haas) Weidner went to be with the Lord Friday, June 21, 2019 at the age of 95. She was born in Fischer, Texas on July 20, 1923 to Henry and Irma Haas. Elvira is survived by her daughter, Beverlyn Hoffmann and husband Wayne; grandsons, Carl Hoffmann and wife Patty, Roger Hoffmann and wife Stacey; great-grandchildren Carly, Kenzy, Trey, Clay, and Reagan Hoffmann; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Irma Haas; her loving husband of 54 years, Lewin Weidner; daughter, Carolyn Sumbling and husband William; granddaughter, Sandy Sumbling; grandson, Ted Hoffmann; and siblings, Etelka Rust, Norma Lucas, Vera Reiley, Erhold (Dick) Haas, and Ilka Haas.
Elvira was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed being a member of Herman Sons, Spring Branch Bowling Club and the Bulverde Spring Branch Activity Center. Elvira was always very active. She loved keeping busy on the family ranch. She spent many hours on her four-wheeler spraying weeds and snipping cedars. She always made sure that no one left hungry.
Visitation with the family will be at Zoeller Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at 2:00 pm followed by the funeral service at 3:00 pm. Interment will immediately follow at the Weidner Family Cemetery in Spring Branch, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elvira’s honor to Hope Hospice, 611 N.
