Estella Madero

With faith in the promise of eternal life through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we announce that Stella Z. Madero, 70 years young, entered into the presence of the Lord on July 6, 2026, peacefully at her home in New Braunfels, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family.

Stella was a devoted wife, loving mother, mother in law, cherished grandmother, sister, faithful servant of God, and treasured friend. She shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Miguel P. Madero, whose love and partnership were a testament to God's faithfulness.

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Rocky Rodriguez; John Rodriguez and his wife, Brandi; Bobby Rodriguez and his wife, Priscilla; Amanda Ybarra and her husband, Joe Michael; and Amy Gomez and her husband, Alfonso.

Stella's greatest joy was being "Grandma." She was blessed with her beloved grandchildren: John Rodriguez Jr. and his wife, Cassie; Xaelin Gomez; Isabella Rodriguez; Jayda Ybarra; Gabriel Rodriguez; Arisella Rodriguez; Matthew Rodriguez; Michaela Ybarra; Kylance Gomez; Kiani Ybarra; Noxler Gomez; Aubrey Rodriguez; Cristella Ybarra; Ella-Rose Rodriguez; Vincent Ybarra; and Vianna Ybarra. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in every opportunity to love, encourage, and celebrate them.

She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters, Amelia Cortez, Mary Prado, Janie De Los Santos and her husband, Pete, and Yolanda Z Barrientos along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness and generous spirit.

Stella was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Ricardo and Paz Zamora; her brothers, Frank Zamora, Joe Zamora, Ricardo Zamora Jr., Fernando Zamora, and Gilbert Zamora; and her sisters, Gloria Juarez and Margarita "Margie" Espinoza.

For many years, Stella served as the IT Director at Eden Home Nursing Facility, where her dedication, professionalism, and compassionate heart positively impacted both her coworkers and those entrusted to their care.

Her greatest calling, however, was her faith. Alongside her husband, Miguel, Stella faithfully served at Holy Family Catholic Church through numerous ministries. She lived her faith not only within the walls of the church but also through her daily acts of love, service, generosity, and compassion. Her life reflected Christ's love, and she inspired others by her unwavering devotion to God and her parish family.

Stella had a joyful spirit and a gift for bringing people together. She loved family gatherings, celebrations, laughter, and creating lasting memories. No matter the occasion, she believed every moment with loved ones was a blessing worth celebrating. Her warm smile, welcoming heart, and contagious laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

We rejoice knowing that Stella's faith has become sight and that she now rests in the eternal embrace of her Heavenly Father. "She is clothed in strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future." Proverbs 31:25

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Stella's life and faith at Holy Family Catholic Church with visitation on Thursday, July 16, 2026, beginning at 5:00 pm, followed by the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. followed by burial procession to Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.

Though she will be deeply missed, Stella leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, love, family, and service. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her until the day we are reunited in God's eternal kingdom.
