Esther B. Torres was born on June 27, 1933, and passed away at the age of 87 on Saturday, August 8, 2020. She resided in Floresville, Texas for most of her life until moving to New Braunfels in 2015. She loved to go camping, fishing, playing bingo, cooking, baking, sewing, working in her flower beds, and gardening.
Esther was preceded in death by her late husband Alejandro Torres, Sr. and son Andy Russel DeAnda. She is survived by her children Guadalupe DeAnda, Joelda DeAnda, Benito Torres and wife Cathy, Julie Hope Laijas, Juan Antonio Torres, and Alexander Harry Torres and wife Socorro; grandchildren; and great grandchildren.
She will be laid to rest with her husband Alejandro Torres, Sr. at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. Viewing will be on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at Zoeller Funeral Home, New Braunfels, Texas from 10:00am - 12:00pm followed by services from 12:00pm - 1:00pm.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren Lane Laijas, Andy DeAnda, Jacob DeAnda and Nykolas Smith.
