

Felix was born and raised in New Braunfels. He was the 6th of 14 children. Felix joined the Army in May of 1966. He went to Texas State University where he studied Business. Felix worked and retired from the State of Texas. He married Penny Scarbrough Farias on June 10, 1994. Together they raised their son John Felix Farias and his sister, Amy Loremo. John was his pride and joy. John was killed in action while serving in Afghanistan in 2011. Felix will be laid to rest next to his son at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Felix was preceded in death by his parents; son, John Felix Farias (Marines KIA); and brothers, Lino Farias (Army KIA), Jesse Farias, and Elizar Farias (Marines). He is survived by his loving wife Penny Scarbrough Farias; stepdaughter, Amy Marie Loremo; brothers, Pete Farias (Navy), Walter Farias (Army), Arturo Farias (Navy), and Lino Farias (Army); sisters, Lupe Babbitt, Alma Cameron, Elida Aguirre, Sally Gutierrez, Judy Gauthier, Blanca Vela, and April Ortiz; grandchildren, Alex Loremo and Alyssa Loremo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be Monday, March 3, 2025 from 5-9:00 PM at Zoeller Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Zoeller Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Don Duncan. Interment will be follow at 1:30 PM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
