Frances Kohlenberg Ruley

The Soul whom many know and love as Frances Kohlenberg Ruley, 98, of New Braunfels, Texas, peacefully left her earthly body during the morning of October 12, 2023, to join her predeceased husband James Ruley and other beloved family members. Frances left this life surrounded by her son Gary Ruley, daughter Nancy Ruley Montgomery, and grandsons Barrett Barbour and Jonathan Montgomery.

After retiring from the City of New Braunfels Dittlinger Memorial Library, Frances enjoyed 25 years with her retired husband (partner in Comal Realty) by nurturing her family, creating a lovely home, volunteering for senior citizens and Habitat for Humanity, and building lifetime relationships. As a widow for 12 years, she continued to create additional loving relationships with caregivers who became extended family members.

Frances was known to use humor as a positive uplifting of all those who met her. More importantly, Frances has been and continues to be an inspiration to everyone who met her. And while she will be sorely missed by those of us whom she leaves behind, we wish Frances Godspeed on the next leg of her spiritual journey.

Visitation for Frances will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, at Zoeller Funeral Home. A graveside service will occur at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 20, at Guadalupe Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending a donation to Hope Hospice.
