Frank V. Hinojosa entered into rest on Saturday, September 8, 2018, in New Braunfels. He was born on January 18, 1945, in Lubbock, Texas. At the age of 5 years, his family moved to New Braunfels. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Nicolasa Hinojosa.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 47 years, Linnell Hinojosa, sons, Anthony Hinojosa, Patrick Hinojosa and wife, Priscilla, David Hinojosa and Meaghan Daigle, Grandson, Grandpa’s little man, Braeden Hinojosa and Step Grandson, Dezmon Mendoza, brother, Jesse Hinojosa, sisters, Augustina Rosales and Mary Villarreal, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Frank was employed by Mission Valley Mills and Carltons Food Products. He was employed at the New Braunfels Smokehouse Plant for 31 years when he retired in 2007. Frank was very dedicated to his family. He loved family gatherings and celebrating birthdays.
Frank and Linnell enjoyed traveling to Colorado, New Mexico, Louisiana, Tennessee and Florida, staying in RV parks in their travel trailer. He took his grandson, Braeden, on many camping trips.
Frank especially enjoyed going to the casinos in Louisiana to play the slot machines.
Frank enjoyed 9-pin bowling at Barbarossa. Frank and Linnell loved going dancing. He enjoyed going to Texas Rangers baseball games in Arlington and traveling to Houston to watch the Astros play baseball.
Frank was great at building things in his woodworking shop in the backyard.
Visitation will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 5-9 PM, with a 7 PM Rosary, and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 17, 2018 , at 10 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church followed by burial at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
