George Preusser

George Preusser, 85, of New Braunfels, Texas passed away on June 27, 2026. George was born on November 5, 1940, in New Braunfels, Texas. While attending school he met the love of his life, Gloria Johnson, they married June 1, 1958. They were married 64 loving years. He had a love of dancing, camping and working outdoors, but his favorite thing to do was spend time with his family while barbecuing, while drinking a cold one. We are grateful to know that George/Opie is finally at peace with his one and only love. He will be missed.

He is survived by his loving daughters Donna Preusser and her wife Michele Shamrock, and Karla Balogac and his two grandchildren Ryan and Chelsea Balogac.

A Public Viewing & Visitation will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St, New Braunfels, Texas 78130, on July 5, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will take place at Gruene United Methodist Church, 2629 E. Common Street, New Braunfels, TX 78130, on July 6, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by Interment at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park, 2951 TX Hwy 46, New Braunfels, Texas 78130, on July 6, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.

A Light Reception and Gathering will be held at Gruene United Methodist Church, 2629 E. Common Street, New Braunfels, TX 78130, on July 6, 2026, beginning at 12:30 pm.
