George worked for the last 8 years at Bluebonnet Ford and was in the U.S. Air Force from 1966-1972 and then in the Air Force Reserves.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel Thompson of New Braunfels; daughters, Yvette Nichole Thompson of Georgia and Quianna Susana Thompson of New Braunfels; son, Jason Lamont Thompson of Houston, Texas and seven grandchildren. George was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Thompson, Jr. and Naomi Bailey Thompson; brother, Melvin Theodore Thompson, Jr. and one sister, Joyce Thompson.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday at the Zoeller Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, April 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Zoeller Funeral Home chapel. Services will conclude in the chapel.
