Glenda "Jean" Jones

Glenda "Jean" Jones, of New Braunfels, TX., lost her fight with brain cancer, passing away on June 15, 2026, at the age of 77. She was born in Brownwood, TX. on February 3, 1949 to James and Norma Jean Wilkins.

Jean was raised in El Paso. TX. She met and married her high school sweetheart, Andy Jones. They met while playing in the high school band together. Jean was the "beautiful, red-headed French horn player" and Andy was the "dashing drum major." They married in 1966 in El Paso, TX. Soon after high school, Andy joined the US Navy. They were stationed in California. Eventually they made their way back home to Texas. Jean earned her Master's in Social Work, Cum Laude, at UTA. Through her career as a social worker, she enjoyed helping others and protecting those that were unable to protect themselves. Jean had a heart of gold and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Jean is survived by a loving husband of 60 years, Andy. and her six children, Desirre, Christine, Angie, Bryan, Eric, and Will. and many other family members.
