Harriett Vernice (Maher) Wilson

WILSON, Harriett Vernice “Mimi” (Maher), passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 13th of 2021 at the age of 89 in New Braunfels, TX. Harriett was born on the 16th of June, 1932 in Dallas, TX, to Charles Jerome and Ellen Rose Maher. Harriett married Pat Ray Wilson on September 2nd, 1948 and together they had five cherished children, Ray, Suzy, Charley, Bob, and Julie. After Pat Wilson’s passing, she married Ole “Mike” Johnson of Grand Prairie, TX on September 12th, 2006.

Harriett worked at many places over the years to support her children including the Federal Building in downtown Dallas, Midway National Bank, Mike Lewis Realty, Precision Drill, and went on to retire from Vought, the latter of which all are in Grand Prairie, TX. Harriett was an avid reader, and her love of traveling took her to destinations like Paris, London and Germany, as well as multiple cruises and sights in the US.

Everyone in her life knew that family was her true love, and she had a big one...Five children, fourteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Pat Ray Wilson and her second husband Ole “Mike” Johnson, her parents, Charles Jerome and Ellen Rose Maher, and her granddaughter Jennifer Rachelle Wiggs. Those left to cherish Harriett’s memory include her children, Pat Ray Wilson Jr. and wife Lisa, Suellen Wilson, Charles Frank Wilson and wife Donnette, Robert Douglas Wilson and wife Rae Lynn, Julie Anna Russell and husband Joe, her sister Peggy Toth and husband Jim, her niece Audrey Toth, and two nephews, Greg and Joel Toth, as well as all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (service to follow at 10:00 a.m.) on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa Street, New Braunfels, TX 78130. A Committal Service will take place on December 6, 2021 at 2:00pm at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
