Ignacio Martinez

Ignacio (Nacho) Martinez fell asleep in the arms of our savior on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the age of 63. He was born in New Braunfels, Texas on January 20, 1954 to Gilberto and Benita Martinez. Ignacio later married Esther (Rodriguez) Martinez and raised two amazing sons together. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Nacho was passionate about many things, but the two things that he enjoyed the most were being with his family and cooking – for everyone!

Ignacio is preceded in death by his parents, Gilberto and Benita Martinez. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Esther Martinez; son, Brian Martinez and wife Renee, and son, Eric Martinez and girlfriend Cammy; three granddaughters, who were his pride and joy, Meghan, Kendyl, and Breelyn; brothers, Gilbert (Sylvia), Armando ( Raquel), Ralph (Elizabeth), Roland (Corina); sisters, Theresa (Johnny), Yolanda (Joe), Alicia (Rick), Sylvia (Juan) and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held at Zoeller funeral home on May 1 from 5-9 pm. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm. Funeral mass will be held at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church on May 2 at 10 am. Burial will immediately follow at Hill Country Memorial Gardens. Memorials can be made to Sts. Peter & Paul Church or the charity of one’s choice.
