Jack Wilson Ballentine of New Braunfels passed away at the Wyoming Springs Assisted Living and Memory Care Facility in Round Rock, Tx on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the age of 95. He was born on October 25, 1919 in Alma, Arkansas, the son of John and Lara (Murray) Ballentine.
Jack is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Johnson) Ballentine and brother John Paul Ballentine of Alma, Ark. Jack was preceded in death by his son, Jack W Ballentine, Jr.; his sister Johnnie Marie Murray, and brothers: Henry Harrell Ballentine, Robert Herman Ballentine, Ralph Byrum Ballentine and Raymond Eugene Ballentine.
Jack was a WWII veteran serving in Panama. He was an active member of the American Legion, and the VFW in New Braunfels.
A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be given to the American Legion.
