

Jaime attended New Braunfels High School, then joined the Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus (4th degree), V.F.W., and American Legion. He worked and managed for Walgreens for 46 years and was known as Mr. G. He was also at a young age a motion picture projectionist at the Capitol Tower Drive Inn, and Brauntex Theatres of New Braunfels for several years which led him to enjoy video recording and taking pictures, especially for the Knights of Columbus and Saints Peter and Paul Church. It was known at family gatherings if you were close by, he would put you in the picture as well.
He touched many people’s lives with a gentle and kind spirit, always with a smile on his face and a lending ear. He was a man of great faith and lived his life with a peaceful love for others.
He is preceded in death by his wife Frances Gonzales and son Jaime Gonzales Jr. He is survived by his daughter Esther Whitney (Victor Whitney), and son David Gonzales, his sister Lydia Martinez, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many more.
Public visitation will be held on Monday, April 21 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Saints Peter and Paul Church on April 22 at 10:00 am, with burial to follow at Saints Peter and Paul Mausoleum.
