James McCray Hill was born on April 2, 1993 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
He is survived by his father Mark A. Hill Sr. of New Braunfels, Texas, mother Brenda Bottiger Hill of San Antonio, Texas, sister Kaylin Fulk of San Antonio, Texas, brother Mark A. Hill Jr. of Schertz, Texas, brother Michael H. Hill of New Braunfels, Texas, grandmother Martha Henry of Hendersonville, North Carolina, grandmother Emma Bottiger of San Antonio, Texas, uncle Michael Hill of Asheville, North Carolina, uncle David Lance Hill of McKinney, Texas, uncle Alan Anderson of San Antonio, Texas, uncle Ron Jenkins of San Antonio, Texas, aunt Linda Bottiger Anderson of San Antonio Texas, aunt Barbara Jenkins of San Antonio, Texas, aunt Kelly Hill of McKinney, Texas, and aunt Martha Hill of Asheville, North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by grandfather Hollis H. Hill Jr. of Hot Springs, Arkansas, grandfather William Bottiger of Wathena, Kansas, and uncle James Hill of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
He graduated from New Braunfels High School in 2011 and was a member of the 2009 state semi-finalist football team. “Mac” will always be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, that he was always a giving person and he always thought about others before himself. He loved his family, the beach, his pets and was an avid movie goer. He spent almost 12 years employed by McDonald’s of New Braunfels and was an integral part of the management team. He will be missed by the New Braunfels community and was a friend to all!
