James grew up in New York where he attended grade school. After High School he moved to California and lived there for many years before moving to Texas. James proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He worked at Randolph Airforce Base for thirty years as an airplane mechanic. Afterwards he became a security guard for McKenna Memorial Hospital and later for Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union. He enjoyed the outdoors and working in his yard.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Hilda Cooper Palmer, step-daughters, Filda Montero and Kenia Cooper; step grand-daughters, Maria Fernanda Montero, and Dallery Montero.
A public viewing & visitation for James will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St., New Braunfels, TX 78130. A funeral service will occur Friday, July 12, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Zoeller Funeral Home.
James will be laid to rest in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park, 2951 TX Hwy 46, New Braunfels, Texas 78130.
