I never met Mr. Peterson, but I know his daughter, Becky, so that I know what kind of man he was.  I can tell he was much loved and will be sorely missed.  I have prayed for him and the family during his illness, and I shall continue to pray.

Dear Peterson family -- we know our Dads are together now and telling tall tales and many "war" stories.  What great friends they were - a true mutual admiration society!  The law enforcement community was blessed to have those two as leaders and teachers. "Pete Pererson" was my Academy Director in my Basic Police training back in 1978, after he had completed a career at San Antonio Police Department. Thank You Pete for the education, tactic's and common sense you ingrained in me to sustain me over a 33 year career. Sharyl and I extend our sincere condolences to the Peterson Family. His was a life "well" lived.

Pete, as he prefered to be called, was my instructor at Southwest Texas State University, Law Enforcement Academy.  I will forever be grateful to Pete and Bucky, for everything they taught me about law enforcement. My heartfelt condolences to his entire family and especially his son, Paul Peterson, who served as a Peace Officer at SWTSU.  May Pete's soul and spirit rest in peace and live on forever.

Dear Peterson Family. I am so sorry to learn of Pete's passing. I was one of the police cadets that he taught in the academy. He was one of the best instructors and had a way of getting you to learn how to be a good policeman and to keep yourself safe. He will be much remembered by many, many officers that he taught. He was the greatest. We had him as an instructor in last SAPD cadet class in 1964. So sorry to hear of his passing.
He will be missed for sure.
