

Emma “Jane” Fenton, 102, peacefully passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025 with family present. Jane was born June 25, 1923, to Floyd and Iva Egleston in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the youngest of four children. Her family moved to Middletown, Ohio where she met the love of her life, Thomas Fenton. They married on May 4, 1946, and remained in Middletown where she worked as a secretary. They became the proud parents of Stephen in 1951 and Douglas in 1953. Jane always put family first. When her sister Ruth died, she took in her mother, Iva, and Ruth’s two teenage daughters, Ruth and Lillian. She provided a loving home while successfully navigating her career. Jane eventually became the Executive Secretary for the President of Armco Steel which was the third largest steel producer in the United States. She also was President of the “Armco Girls” which represented the 3000 plus female work force at the plant. In 1971 Jane and Tom moved to Florida to support Tom’s job promotion. Jane became a real Floridian and had a successful career as a realtor. They remained in North Palm Beach until March 2024 when they relocated to New Braunfels, Texas to be with family. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and sister. She is survived by her husband of 79 years Thomas, sons Stephen (Teresa) and Douglas (Giselle), grandchildren Chris (Allison), Aaron (Tabitha), Lauren (Jay), Alexandra (Justin), and great-grandchildren Kenzie, Kaylee, Wyatt, Tenley, Jaxson, Charlotte, Sibele, Luke and Delia. Jane Fenton will be remembered as a loving, loyal and independent minded pillar of the Fenton Clan. Services will be held in the spring.
